” …are making loud music for the adult connoisseur”

With their second, self-titled EP now being released, Tease & Denial are making a tremendous statement again.

Tease & Denial are simply a musical slap in the face, a really hard one, that you didn’t know you wanted, but damn, didn’t it feel good?

This female fronted, international four-piece band (it’s members living in Amsterdam and Berlin) does make a huge difference by something they refer to themselves as the T&D factor.

The proven formula of heavy guitars, drums, bass and female vocals is what you hear. Yet, a distinguished sense of dirtiness, pain and dark glamour will take you on a delicate trip to the back alleys of life. The years of innocence are definitely gone.

Tease & Denial are intense, hard and fierce, but there are many moments of sheer heartbreaking beauty. There is weirdness, sophisticated melodrama and cool heaviness, with a reconciling pop-feel as a remedy. All in all, quite eclectic, yet coherent by all means. Being drawn into the music, Mariska van Veen’s exceptional voice tells you true stories about the human poison cabinet.

It all began in 2013. After releasing the first EP „Damsel Sessions“, the band soon earned recognicion by many international music connoisseurs, and has been gaining a vast reputation as an outstanding act ever since.

On stage, Tease & Denial enfold into a highly flammable and emotional performance. They are hard rocking, thriving, yet always stylish – another aspect of the T&D factor.

Recent highlights include a showcase on Amsterdams legendary Paradiso main stage, due to the many votes by listeners on Pinguin Radio, scoring 7th out of 900 entries. Tease & Denial have shared the stage with Vic du Monte (ex Kyuss), and played multiple shows in Berlin, Amsterdam and Zaandam so far.  They recently performed at the Dutch Magneet Festival. At this moment, Tease & Denial are receiving radio airplay in Texas, U.S., and IndieXL, AltFM (giving a live interview), DinxperFM, Area 51  (all Netherlands), and have recently been interviewed by international Battlehelm Magazine.

Former and musical side projects feature acts like the notorious mid-90’s Mink Stole, OddJobMen (both with Jochen Roeder on drums), Pulsediver, Teufelscamp der verlorenen Frauen (Ivan and Mariska), Semistereo (Ron).
